WHAT IS FOCUSED WIRING?  –  Because the coils of Rivet pickups work best when strung together in certain focused combinations, our pickup wirings have been baked into razor-blade sized cards that snap in to make the necessary wiring a breeze.

(Scroll thru the cards below. Our favorites are listed first…)

#108   CRUNCH

Toggle switch:

(#1) LEAD POSITION – a hot bridge sound using both mini coils in series

(#2) MIDDLE POSITION – all pickups on

(#3) RHYTHM POSITION – a cool Fender® neck sound, but with added highs

Toggle switch  +  push/pull “up”:

(#4) LEAD POSITION – a more biting Fender® single-coil lead sound, but bassier punch from the added low mini coil. Also, a mid/high bleed capacitor is activated to deliver more brightness

(#5) MIDDLE POSITION – both single-coils on plus bass mini coil

(#6) RHYTHM POSITION – a clean Fender® single-coil clear neck sound

Summary – This is our most recommended card. It has robust high output bridge sound, enhanced neck sound, plus a good variety of sounds in between. The bridge when in “split mode” still gets the bass mini, but uses a bleed capacitor to deliver extra crispness in upper mid’s.

(This card replaces card #101, and adds the bleed capacitor.)

#106   HOT BRIDGE – MINI’s ONLY

Toggle switch:

(#1) LEAD POSITION – a hot bridge sound using both mini coils

(#2) MIDDLE POSITION – a hot bridge sound with a hint of cancellation

(#3) RHYTHM POSITION – ultra “scooped” using the mini coils only

Toggle switch  +  push/pull “up”:

(#4) LEAD POSITION – traditional Fender® single-coil lead sound

(#5) MIDDLE POSITION – no sound – off

(#6) RHYTHM POSITION – no sound – off

Summary – This razor blade is admittedly weird, but its sound #3 is very cool: Sound #3 is pretty scooped out in midrange but it’s very useful because it’s thin and delicate and doesn’t saturate the mix. Then when you turn down the bridge pickup’s tone knob – whoa! – you get an almost “acoustic guitar-like” tone (caused by a reverse-phased bleed out of tone thru the bridge pickup, which is probably too much information – but it sounds weird and very cool!)

#109   GLASS

Toggle switch:

(#1) LEAD POSITION – a sparky hot bridge sound having the main coil in series with both mini coils which are in parallel

(#2) MIDDLE POSITION – all pickups on, mostly in parallel

(#3) RHYTHM POSITION – traditional Fender® single-coil neck sound

Toggle switch  +  push/pull “up”:

(#4) LEAD POSITION – traditional Fender® single-coil lead sound

(#5) MIDDLE POSITION – both single-coils on having some cancellation

(#6) RHYTHM POSITION – traditional Fender® single-coil neck sound

Summary – This is our brightest sounding wiring. It’s not so much thick or heavy, but is similar to Strat(tm)/Tele(tm) sounds though much fatter in harmonic saturation with the mini’s on in parallel.

#107   HOT BRIDGE – SINGLE NECK HACK

Toggle switch:

(#1) LEAD POSITION – a hot bridge sound using both mini coils

(#2) MIDDLE POSITION – a hot bridge sound with some cancellation

(#3) RHYTHM POSITION – traditional Fender® single-coil neck sound

Toggle switch  +  push/pull “up”:

(#4) LEAD POSITION – Fender® single-coil lead sound, but with solid low-end from the added bass mini coil

(#5) MIDDLE POSITION – single-coil cancellation with extra low end bass

(#6) RHYTHM POSITION – traditional Fender® single-coil neck sound

Summary – A bit like #108 CRUNCH except the neck never gets the bridge’s mini-coil. Also no bleed cap so sound #4 is not quite so edgy.
